I'm sorry to say I didn't watch it. I got my fill of them when I was first into veg., now they just make me sick and I feel it's unnecessary to watch...

What do you think: should people in the animal rights and veg. lifestyle force themselves to watch and see things like this, or is it okay to "turn away" after we've made changes in our lives?

Are others who aren't in that lifestyle doing wrong by not watching them?

I don't think anyone should force themselves to watch these videos. If you don't want to watch, don't watch.

I've been vegetarian for 25 years and only just recently have I had a renewed interest in discussing vegetarianism and animal rights. I went vegan this year (again) and that's part of this renewed interest.

I certain understand someone who doesn't want to get involved. My interest waxes and wanes. There are times I can't deal with thinking about all the cruelty. There are lots of times when I just don't have the energy to confront it.

I was vegan 15 years ago for a year and got tired of being ostracized. It's a lot easier nowadays. There are more support networks. Also, I made a deal to myself that after age 30 I'd be more true to myself and just figure out the consequences along the way.

So, yeah, it's fine to "just turn away." It's your prerogative. Do what you like. But things change so check in once in a while.
